Women peak at 40, and men at 19
I remember laughing my head off when I read that in a magazine
I was 20 at the time
Now I'm staring 40 right in the face
and the only trouble with being a women my age.....
K.T. Oslin - gotta' love her! The sassiness and spunk, something that a 16-year-old girl couldn't help but be drawn to the lyrics -- though at the time I assure you, had no idea what the song was truly about as she sang it at the top of her lungs.
So, I wonder...what's changed from then to now? As that 16-year-old approaches 40, is it all it was cracked up to be?
40, is it a milestone, a number, something to dread or embrace?
